MMDSizer

In 1991, KMC engaged in the development of a prototype oilsands crushing technology, the “MMD sizer” which enabled Suncor’s change to truck and shovel mining methods.

Snow Viper

The "Snow Viper" was developed during the winter of 1997/1998. We invented this unique machine for cleaning vast amounts of snow off the lifts on containment structures in the oilsands. The Snow Viper is a jet engine mounted on a Caterpillar 980C Loader with a forklift attachment.

This development significantly decreased the amount of equipment required to prepare placement areas and improved the efficiency of our overall operation.
