Mine development is the process of preparing areas for plant construction and the initial development of new mining pits. These activities occur in advance of the ability for a new area or expansion to produce ore, and includes ongoing civil construction projects. Access Road Construction

Site Clearing, Stripping and Muskeg Removal
KMC performs clearing on large scale mine developments, which includes the stripping of organics, muskeg removal, excavation, and compaction of material.
Rough / Final Grading
A stable and well-graded mine site sets the stage for the facilities and infrastructure for mine development projects. KMC will ensure that rough and final site grading meets our client’s geotechnical and civil design standards.
Site Drainage and Utilities
KMC is capable of performing site drainage and open-cut excavations for utilities to suit any project requirement. From previous projects, we have experience in the handling and installation of HDPE pipe and other utilities.
Initial Dyke Construction
Surface tailings dykes are one of the more critical structures for the mining industry. KMC has the people and assets to build initial tailings facilities using leading industry practices and standards.
